Founded by Gemma Raeburn-Baynes, The Montreal Ebony Models (MEM) has been producing fashion shows since 1980. Through the years, over $1.5 million has been raised for various charities in and around Montreal, including: The Jewish General Hospital Hope and Cope, YM/YWHA, Negro Community Centre, Children’s Wish Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Montreal Children’s Hospital and The Canadian Sickle Cell Society; to name a few. MEM has also discovered and developed many successful models and actresses who have gone on to Europe as well as other parts of Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.  In 2004, The Montreal Ebony Models celebrated 25 Years of Style with the launch of the clothing line of Runner, Ben Johnson. This year will commemorate 35 Years of Style.
