A Taste of Tea (Caribbean Tea Party) is designed as an exclusive event for Playmas Montreal Cultural Association to celebrate International Women’s Day.

On Sunday, March 6, 2016 it will be an elegant celebration for the sophisticated and elegant people of Montreal. “A Taste of Tea” will be held at Le Centre 6767 Cote des Neiges Road. This year’s theme is “Big Hats and High Tea”, which we will create around a “High Society” feel. Guests are asked to wear a Society/Tea style hat or fascinator and gloves as a part of their ensemble. As guests arrive they will be greeted with a specialty welcome TIFIDEN tea. The menu will feature traditional high tea items plus Caribbean specialties and sweets.

Included in the guests experience will be the awarding of the “Woman of Merit” Award being presented to six women in the community, a society style High Tea Talk, specialty entertainment by Italian singer, Aldo Villani and ballroom dancer Emily Rivkin. A deluxe dessert/candy station featuring the TIFIDIN tea boutique and sweet inspiration line of cupcakes will be some of the mouthwatering treats. A mother/daughter fashion show is always a great treat and lots of prizes to be won all day long for best hat, best fascinator and best teacup.

The venue will be decorated with High Society inspired items, such as lace and/or crocheted runners, simple yet elegant linens, fresh floral arrangements and more.

Early Bird Tickets are $25.00; $30.00 after February 22 and available at many West Indian outlets, or by calling Groups also available. Administrative/Event Coordinator,
Melaine Campbell at 514-893-6643 or (514) 620-6612.
