Nous souhaitons favoriser un sentiment de continuit\u00e9 culturelle, en veillant \u00e0 ce que nos traditions, nos r\u00e9cits et nos coutumes ne tombent pas dans l\u2019oubli, mais soient ch\u00e9ris et transmis de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration en g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. R\u00e9fl\u00e9chir. \u00c9changer.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La premi\u00e8re phase de <em>Lit Roots<\/em> commence par des cercles litt\u00e9raires et des s\u00e9ances d'analyse culturelle, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un espace o\u00f9 les participants peuvent se r\u00e9unir pour explorer la litt\u00e9rature carib\u00e9enne, les traditions orales et les r\u00e9cits culturels \u00e0 travers la conversation, la r\u00e9flexion et l'apprentissage partag\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au cours de discussions anim\u00e9es, les participants liront et analyseront des romans, des po\u00e8mes, des nouvelles, des textes oraux et des \u00e9crits culturels des Cara\u00efbes qui abordent les th\u00e8mes de l'identit\u00e9, de la migration, de la r\u00e9sistance, de la langue, de l'appartenance, du patrimoine et de la vie communautaire. Ces s\u00e9ances encouragent les participants \u00e0 porter un regard critique sur les r\u00e9cits qui ont fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 les exp\u00e9riences carib\u00e9ennes, tout en \u00e9tablissant des liens pertinents avec les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s actuelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les cercles litt\u00e9raires ont pour objectif de favoriser l'engagement communautaire et un dialogue ouvert dans un cadre inclusif et accueillant. Les participants sont encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 partager leurs points de vue, leurs r\u00e9flexions personnelles et leurs exp\u00e9riences v\u00e9cues, tout en apprenant les uns des autres, toutes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations confondues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les s\u00e9ances d'analyse culturelle approfondissent les discussions en examinant le contexte historique, le symbolisme, la langue, les expressions culturelles et les th\u00e8mes sociaux pr\u00e9sents dans la litt\u00e9rature et les traditions narratives des Cara\u00efbes. Chaque mois comprendra <strong>une s\u00e9ance en pr\u00e9sentiel<\/strong> et <strong>une session virtuelle<\/strong> afin de favoriser l'accessibilit\u00e9 et une participation plus large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaque s\u00e9ance sera <strong>d'une dur\u00e9e de 3 heures<\/strong> et d\u00e9butera par une analyse litt\u00e9raire guid\u00e9e d\u2019une s\u00e9lection de textes carib\u00e9ens. LIT ROOTS PROGRAM OVERVIEW LITERARY CIRCLES &amp; CULTURAL ANALYSIS Read. Reflect. Connect. The first phase of Lit Roots begins with Literary Circles and Cultural Analysis Sessions, creating a space where participants can come together to explore Caribbean literature, oral traditions, and cultural narratives through conversation, reflection, and shared learning. Through guided discussions, participants will read and engage with Caribbean novels, poetry, short stories, oral texts, and cultural writings that reflect themes of identity, migration, resistance, language, belonging, heritage, and community life. These sessions encourage participants to think critically about the stories that have shaped Caribbean experiences while drawing meaningful connections to present-day realities. The Literary Circles are designed to foster community engagement and open dialogue in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Participants are encouraged to share perspectives, personal reflections, and lived experiences while learning from one another across generations. The Cultural Analysis Sessions take the discussions deeper by examining historical context, symbolism, language, cultural expression, and social themes found within Caribbean literature and storytelling traditions. Inspired by the literature, oral histories, and cultural discussions explored throughout the program, participants will be encouraged to transform reflection into creation through poetry, storytelling, literary commentary, spoken word, and personal narrative writing. These workshops are designed to strengthen confidence, creativity, and cultural connection while introducing participants to different forms of literary and artistic expression rooted in Caribbean storytelling traditions. Through guided prompts, collaborative exercises, and facilitated discussions, participants will explore how writing can be used as a tool for self-expression, preservation, healing, education, and community building.
