A Taste of Tea is an annual Caribbean tea party hosted by Playmas Montreal, dedicated to celebrating and honouring Black women who exemplify excellence, innovation, and courage within the community. Held in recognition of International Women’s Day, this vibrant event brings together guests for an enriching afternoon filled with Caribbean teas, delicious cuisine, live performances, and meaningful activities. Highlights include the prestigious Woman of Merit Award, honouring Black women who make impactful contributions, and the GemStars Fashion Presentation, showcasing emerging talents and fostering unity and inspiration among attendees.
MISSION
The mission of A Taste of Tea is to uplift and celebrate Black women who lead with distinction and strength, recognizing their invaluable contributions and inspiring future generations. Through this event, we aim to create an empowering space that honours Black women’s achievements, fosters community bonds, and champions cultural pride. By spotlighting trailblazers and emerging talents, A Taste of Tea affirms our commitment to advancing Black women’s legacy, resilience, and influence in our society.
